Love the app, just started using it. Just donated for the great work! But I have noticed that occasionally, but more often than not, I if try to re-write the metadata a second time I lose the video. If I try to play the file in iTunes it wont even display the controller or "X" to close the video. The audio plays though.

Matt (December 1st) seems to have a similar problem. Not sure what is going on, but even if I write to the file once and then use squeegify it'll kill the video. Not a big deal, but I did loose the entire first season of The Office (UK), only 6 episodes in length though so I can re-handbrake easily.

Keep up the awesome work!

0.7.4 has been working beautifully for months. I'd like to point out that iTunes automatically creates the HD badge. I outputted some 720 HD files from iMovie and got some from the internet and the badge showed up automatically in iTunes and Apple TV. No tagging required.

Sorry, the code blocked out the code:
It meant to be this... (without the "?'s")

LOWELL, I have found a problem with the current version of the program.

Well, for the explicit and clean tags, it doesnt seem that it actually "TAGS" the files, but it just "tags" them...
What I mean is.. If you open up the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file, and you look at a purchased file thats tagged compared to one tagged with Lostify, the purchased one has the following under the metadata list:

Explicit -OR-
Clean

Where as, ones tagged with Lostify do not have that, which would mean that Lostify isn't actually tagging it in the file, but just adding it. BECAUSE, when you look on Front Row or APPLE TV; on a purchased file, it shows "EXPLICIT" or "CLEAN" but on one tagged with Lostify it doesnt.

Please email me, as I love the program, and would love to be able to see the EXPLICIT tags on my apple tv and front row.
Thanks so much!

After upgrading I get this error:Can’t get item 2 of {"G"}. (-1728) I deleted, reinstalled previous versions and can't get rid of the error message.

I have a Mac running the latest version on OS on non-intel machine.

Great utility, but one small problem. I use Turbo.264 to convert files to H.264, including closed captions (this comes in handy, for example, when converting my DVD copy of "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" to H.264 so I can keep the Japanese audio and read the English closed captions. However, it appears that Lostify strips the closed captioning from the H.264 file.

Steve,
Yes, the 4GB file size limitation is a problem with AtomicParsley. And the big problem there is, the project has kind of gone dark -- the main code branch on sourceforge has not had an update in almost two years. A handful of enterprising individuals (including myself) have made minor fixes and tweaks in the code since then, but nothing major.

Yours is not the first report I've heard of large files causing problems. For my part, I have actually never encoded a file with high-enough quality to get anywhere near 4GB. This, more than anything, explains why Lostify doesn't handle such huge files. Another Mac developer who relies on AP (Rodney Kerstetter, author of MetaX) has built a 64-bit version of AP that supposedly does better with large files, but I simply haven't found the time or motivation to do the experimentation necessary to get Lostify working with such files yet.

Hi Lowell

I've been using Lostify for a long while now and absolutely love it. I recently began reconverting my movies to a higher quality which has led some to be over 4GB in size and that's where's I've encountered a problem:

Although those files play in iTunes and my iPod touch and I can add metadata from within iTunes itself, Lostify gives me an "Atomic Parsley" error.

Is there a reason why Atomic Parsley doesn't like large files? Are you aware if they'll fix this eventually?
